At the age of eleven, following completion of Year 6, the children transfer to secondary education. In the autumn term parents will receive full details from the Education Authority of all the secondary schools that are available. Barton CE (VA) Primary School feeds into Comberton Village College and Cambourne Village College, although attendance at Barton does not guarantee a place at the school. St Bede's Inter-Church Comprehensive School in Cambridge has also been the choice of several Barton parents in recent years. This is an ecumenical school and in order for a child to gain a place, there must be strong family links with a local church.
