    Swallow Class

Welcome to Swallow Class for 2025/26!

I’m really looking forward to the year ahead in Swallow Class. We’ve got a busy term planned, with plenty of opportunities to learn, create and enjoy ourselves along the way. There will be challenges to stretch us, new skills to master, and hopefully a few lightbulb moments too.

We will be travelling back to the Stone Age in history, digging into rocks and fossils in science, and bringing stories to life through illustration in art. Our visit to the Sedgwick Museum will build on our classroom learning, giving us the chance to see extraordinary fossil collections and ancient artefacts in a museum setting. For full details of what we’ll be studying this term, please see the Curriculum Overview at the bottom of the page.

PE days this term will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. On these days, children should come to school in their PE kits. As a reminder, this should be a white t-shirt, black or navy shorts/joggers (depending on the weather), and their school sweatshirt or fleece. Long hair should be tied back, and earrings removed. Please keep non-school uniform sportswear at home for clubs and weekends.

Please make sure your child brings a named water bottle to school each day — learning is thirsty work! They will also need a healthy snack from home. And, to help lost items find their way home, please label everything: uniform, snack pots and water bottles included.
