We are Barton Primary School FOBS (Friends of Barton School)

As a "friends group" we welcome parents, grandparents, carers, guardians, teachers, staff members and anyone else wishing to support the school. Our aims are:

1. to raise funds to provide additional educational items that statutory school funds cannot supply,
2. to help support the culture and community aspect of school life by organising fun events which bring everyone together!

Anyone wishing to support or join the committee is very welcome to attend our meetings to find out more.

We are always on the look-out for new fundraising initiatives, and need a range of skills from behind-the-scenes setting up and researching ideas, to organising, marketing, and running events. We work as a team, and are always there to support each other.

The commitment that is required is:

• attending regular meetings (usually once every half term) and being willing to take on an area of responsibility, especially when putting on events;
• liaising with other members of the school community.

Ink cartridge and toner recycling. As well as making payments to FOBS for every item that is recycled, Empties Please also give schools "Green Points" for every £1 that is raised. The points can be redeemed for "Green Goodies" such as seed packets, bird feeders, bug boxes and gardening equipment.
