Measurement: length in mm, cm and m
We have been learning to convert measurements between the 3 different units e.g.
100mm = 10 cm = 0.1m
The children have used this skill to help them add and subtract lengths presented in different units
e.g. Which is greater: 1m 9 cm, 119 mm or 110 cm?
Some groups also extended their work to include perimeter of composite rectangular shapes where some of the lengths are missing. They completed the perimeter and used it to calculate area.
