At Barton, we use a House System to foster a sense of community and develop leadership skills in students. We find that Houses promote teamwork, healthy competition, and a positive school culture.
Children are randomly allocated to a House when joining Barton School. Our Houses are named after the four classical elements:

Houses also provide an incentive for children to work hard, both for their House as well as themselves, as they are able to earn House points for good work or behaviour. A friendly rivalry exists between the Houses with the cumulative points total announced in Collective Worship on Friday each week.
