Swallow Y3/Y4

Swallow Class

Welcome to Swallow Class for 2025/26!

I’m really looking forward to the half term ahead in Swallow Class. We’ve got lots planned, with plenty of opportunities to learn, create and enjoy ourselves along the way.

This half term we’ll be chasing light and shadow in science, mapping settlements in geography, and getting practical in DT as we build our own shell structures. In English, we’ll be reading The Boy at the Back of the Class - a story full of heart, courage and friendship - and tackling multiplication and division in maths. For full details of what we’ll be studying this half term, please see the Curriculum Overview at the bottom of the page.

PE days this half term will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays. On these days, children should come to school in their PE kits. As a reminder, this should be a white t-shirt, black or navy shorts/joggers (depending on the weather), and their school sweatshirt or fleece. Long hair should be tied back, and earrings removed. Please keep non-school uniform sportswear at home for clubs and weekends.

Please make sure your child brings a named water bottle to school each day — learning is thirsty work! They will also need a healthy snack from home. And, to help lost items find their way home, please label everything: uniform, snack pots and water bottles included.
