Weekly Skills Practice:
Times Tables: Practise 4 times a week. There are lots of online games on TopMarks to play, also in the Resources section, there are lots of exciting and interesting ways to practise times tables.
Spellings: Practise 4 times a week, ready for test on Thursday. Lots of fun ways to practice these in children's folders. These should be practised on paper, so the activities can be used regularly.
Reading: All children should be reading EVERYDAY. This is so important. Year 4s, to answer 3 questions per week, in full sentences. Year 5s, to answer 5 questions per week, in full sentences.
Handwriting: Some children will be given weekly handwriting practice, to be completed 3 times a week. These people will be given the work directly from us.
Half Term Project: Children given lots of suggestions for activities to do. This should take a good amount of time (no less than 4 hours) to complete. If they have an alternative idea, please ask them to come and explain to me. I am more than likely going to say yes!
Please let us know if anything is not clear or we can help in any way.
Thanks,
Mrs Megson and Mrs Sadler
