For the last few weeks, Swallows have been investigating the history of Barton. We conducted some fabulous research, finding old records, photographs and maps, as well as even interviewing older residents. Here are the fruits of our learning - a handy guide to Barton history, penned by our wonderful historians. Enjoy!

Here are our newspaper reports, hot off the press. After two weeks experimenting with the genre for the first time, we became journalists for the day and wrote and typed up our own front page stories. Read below for all the juicy gossip on the O2 concert, British Heart Foundation Marathon and other recent events.
The O2 has definitely been our favourite highlight of the year so far. We performed a selection of songs in our sharing assembly and our best was the "Pop Medley" because we could all have a good time and we made lots of actions up.
We have also been using marbling inks to make our planet covers for our topic books - they look amazing!
