1914 Family Evening

We had a marvellous 1914 Family Event just before half-term to remember what it was like to live 100 years ago. We enjoyed playing games like Ludo, Snakes and Ladders. There was a competition to see who could make the best transport or animal model. A quiz centred around St Peter’s Church to spot the names of those who served in WW1 displayed in the stained glass windows. One of the classrooms was set up like a 1914 classroom. Union Jack flags were made. We ate baked potatoes filled with baked beans and corned beef, followed by hot chocolate. The evening ended with a sing-song round the piano with songs like “We’ll Meet Again”. All in all, a great fun evening.
